Götterdämmerung Richard Wagner

April 19th, 2017
Workshop at 4:30 p.m.
Dress Rehearsal 6:00 p.m.

Richard Wagner’s colossal Ring cycle has fascinated opera-goers for over 140 years.  Countless authors and historians continue to seek to unravel the composer’s rich and complex legacy.  As HGO arrives at the Ring’s epic conclusion, join us for a one-hour workshop and dinner before the dress rehearsal.

We will travel the hero's journey, seeking out narrative patterns and musical themes. As an added bonus, we will reconvene at the first intermission over coffee and dessert to discuss your experience. Don't miss this opportunity to attend: only 15 seats remain!

Professional Development Workshops are an enriching evening especially for teachers and others in leadership roles with interactive activities and special insight into the opera. Dinner and a ticket to the dress rehearsal are included along with helpful materials to inspire your work with students and put your knowledge to use!
