Meet the Cast!

I’m Peter Theurer, and I’m playing Friedrich! My favorite musical is Mary Poppins; my favorite role so far is A Young Shepherd in Puccini’s Tosca; and my dream role is any role on the big screen. I fell in love with singing because my mom would always sing to me when I was younger. One thing you won’t believe about me? After being cast in my first major role, I was in an accident and broke my femur. Despite concerns, two surgeries and three months later, I was still able to make my stage debut. 

I’m Annie Voorhees, and I’m playing Louisa! My favorite musical is Newsies; my favorite role so far is Ariel in The Little Mermaid; and my dream role is Anna in Frozen. I fell in love with singing because my family loves to listen to me sing for them. One thing you won’t believe about me? I’m an avid scuba diver. 

I’m Antonio Rico, and I’m playing Kurt! My favorite musical is Grease; my favorite role so far is Bullfrog from Honk! Jr.; and my dream role is Charlie Bucket in Wonka. I fell in love with singing because I joined my school’s choir and found singing with my friends to be an unforgettable experience. One thing you won’t believe about me? I'm a LEGO fanatic, and I have an entire shelf dedicated to displaying them.  

I’m Macie Joy Speer, and I’m playing Brigitta! My favorite musical is Annie; my favorite role so far is Olaf in Frozen; and my dream role is Maria in The Sound of Music. I fell in love with singing because of Christmas carols—I’ve been singing them year-round since I was in diapers. One thing you won’t believe about me? I LOVE jokes, both telling them and hearing them… Why was there an earthquake while the von Trapp children were singing? Because the hills are alive! 

I’m Abigail Lee, and I’m playing Marta! My favorite musical is Wicked; my favorite role so far is singing Gretl in HGO’s My Favorite Things: Songs from the Sound of Music; and my dream role is either Glinda or Elphaba in Wicked. I fell in love with singing because you can connect with others through it, and you don’t even have to speak the same language. One thing you won’t believe about me? I wake up at 5 a.m. four times a week to ice-skate! And I like to eat dumplings for breakfast! 

I’m Lora Uvarova, and I’m playing Gretl! My favorite musical is Matilda; my favorite role so far is my only other role—a little boy in the play Karlsson on the Roof; and my dream role is Matilda. I fell in love with singing because it always makes me happy. One thing you won’t believe about me? I started singing when I was 5 months old. (My mom has video proof.)
