At HGO, we strive to make spectacular art that has the power to connect, inspire, and create lasting change in our community. Overture is HGO’s LGBTQIA+ social group dedicated to celebrating and cultivating everyone’s identities through the love of opera. We are committed to creating a safe space for all while amplifying diverse voices through the storytelling that happens on and off stage.
In addition to awe-inspiring opera, members enjoy gatherings complete with complimentary cocktails, special guest appearances, and more.
how to join
All you need to attend an Overture reception is a ticket to the performance listed as an event date. No RSVP required. Each pre-performance event is held in the Brown Alcove once the theater opens – an hour and a half before the start of the performance. There will be an HGO representative to check you in and provide your complimentary drink tickets.

If you already have a full season subscription and are interested in attending an Overture event, no worries! Subscribers can exchange tickets with zero exchange fees.
